As part of their Reflection Day, more than 400 Year 8 students from St Francis Catholic College, Melton, embarked on a special pilgrimage focused on the Jubilee Year of Hope.
The students visited two Jubilee Pilgrim places – St Patrick’s Cathedral in East Melbourne and St Mary’s Star of the Sea in West Melbourne – and celebrated Mass at St Francis’ Church in Melbourne.
Throughout the day, students were invited to look for signs of hope and reflect on the meaning behind the sacred spaces, taking in the rich symbolism, artwork, and architecture of each church.
The experience left a lasting impression, with many students gaining a deeper appreciation for the beauty, history, and spiritual messages found throughout the pilgrimage journey.
